2012, a team led by Dr. Brian Szuster from the College of Social Sciences at
the University of Hawai`i at M</span><b><span>ā</span></b><span>noa
conducted 450 visitor surveys asking a range of questions about their
experience at the site.<span>  </span>Questions
focused on the determining the number of users at Ho`ona Bay (Garden Eel Cove)
that participants in the Manta Night Dive would prefer to see at the site.
