[MantaReport] Sunday, 8-17-14, Five Mantas at Garden Eel Cove

Sunday, 8-17-14,   Five Mantas at Garden Eel Cove. 

We saw one manta feeding on the surface before the afternoon dive.  
On the afternoon dive I saw Delany cruising over the sand. 

On the night dive I saw Renata Peg Hans and Eli  exhibiting some unique behavior.  

There was no plankton at the lights and yet the mantas continued to swim over the lights very, very slowly.  Mouths shut.  Cephalic fins furling and unfurling.  Just kinda hanging out w the humans.  

I've seen this behavior before and I'm wondering what they were doing. It was suggested that they've become conditioned to our lights attracting food and they're just puzzled by the lack of food.
